Terms & Conditions

At Bella Dance Affairs we are all about fun, but we are also about conducting a fair and professional dance studio. All students participating in Bella Dance Affairs classes, courses, workshops and events (referred to below as ‘activities’) must agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Bella Dance Affairs terms and conditions can be updated or add new conditions at any time. Please read carefully and review at the start of each term. Thank you.

Liability: Students acknowledge that while attending any Bella Dance Affairs activity either at the studio or any other location including online, Bella Dance Affairs is not responsible for any loss or damage to students' personal property. Students recognise that participating in any Bella Dance Affairs class, course, workshop, performance or other event may involve strenuous physical activity including, but not limited to, cardiovascular conditioning and interval training, muscle strength and endurance training, and other various fitness activities. Students understand that it is their personal responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding participation in Bella Dance Affairs dance or dance fitness classes. Students fully understand that injury may occur as a result of participating in any dance activity, and forever release Bella Dance Affairs and its agents from any claims, demands, and causes of action as a result of the student's voluntary participation, and from any liability (including liability for their negligence and the negligence of others) now or in the future for conditions that the student may obtain. Students are fully aware and agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might be incurred as a result of participating in dance activities.

Footwear: Students must wear appropriate footwear and clothing for their class: supportive, covered footwear (e.g. joggers or dance sneakers) for dance fitness classes, heels or flats which are secure around the ankle for other dance styles. Thongs and sandals are not appropriate for any type of class at Bella Dance Affairs.

Safety: Students agree to follow all reasonable and lawful directions provided by Bella Dance Affairs and its agents, including signage at the studio and other written and verbal directions including online.

Image: Students' image may appear in print, electronic or video media produced by or for Bella Dance Affairs for advertising and/or promotional purposes from here on in and in the future. Bella Dance Affairs must be informed upon the student's arrival at the studio if the student does not wish for their image to be used. Bella Dance Affairs does not have control over the use or reproduction of students' images at public events.

Minors: Any student under the age of 18 must have parental/guardian consent and supervision to participate in Bella Dance Affairs activities. Some classes are off limits to anyone under 18 years of age. Bella Dance Affairs reserves the right to exclude students from some dance styles on a case-by-case basis, based on their age.

Refund Policy Casual Attendance: The choice of refund or credit will be offered in the event that a casual fee is paid and the class is subsequently cancelled for any reason. Bella Dance Affairs does not refund the casual fee if a student is dissatisfied for any reason with a class they have attended.

Refund Policy Performance Attendance: If a performance course does not have enough students it will be cancelled and you will be informed. If this happens, only individual course fees ($150 payment for a single course) will be offered a full refund.

Changes: Bella Dance Affairs reserves the right to amend the hours of operation, Class Timetable, dance styles offered, fees, charges, terms and conditions in accordance with the changing requirements of the studio.

Performance Course Fees: Are to be paid by direct debit if not paid in full at the start of the term should other payment arrangements be made under the agreement of Bella Dance Affairs and not paid by the due date, you will accrue a monthly late fee of $30 until Fees are paid in full.

Performance Course Extras: Performance Costume costs are not included in performance course fees. Costume costs vary; Bella Dance Affairs endeavours to keep expenses as affordable as possible. If Bella Dance Affairs purchases the students costume, the cost is to be recouped before the showcase date, even if the student withdraws from the performance course.

Bella Dance Affairs reserves the right to disallow participation in performances if rehearsal attendance or behaviour is inadequate. Students in performance courses are required to inform their Instructor of any absences from rehearsals. If a student can no longer participate in the performance, notice should be given before week 4 of the term, if the student withdraws after the start of week 4, they are liable to pay the remainder of the course fees.

Students enrolled in Brazilian Samba performance courses or development programs are not permitted to perform for or represent any other dance school in Brazilian Samba. Students enrolled in Solo/Duet development programs are not permitted to use material created at Bella Dance Affairs to perform for or represent any other dance school, unless permission is given by Bella Dance Affairs.
