Instructor Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I am the owner and director of Bella Dance Affairs.
The classes I teach are Brazilian Samba, Burlesque, Showgirls, Contemporary, Hot Heels, Chair Sass, Theatre Dance, Jazz Cabaret and Solo/Duet Development.

I started dancing from a young age in classical classes of Ballet and Jazz, then moved around during my time in the Air Force, met my husband started a family and danced whenever I could find the time in Burlesque and Belly Dance, after 13yr in the Air Force I got out and moved back to my home town and started full time dancing again in Burlesque, Brazilian Samba, Cabaret and Contemporary.
Then in September 2016 I opened Bella Dance Affairs a place I knew adults could come and learn how to dance in a safe and judgement free environment no matter their level of dance experience.
Bella Dance Affairs is a place of happiness and has a real dance family vibe about it.      As of July 19 I moved to the USA but am honored to know that the Bella Dance Affairs family is still strong as ever and will continue to keep grow until I return. I have had the privilege of working with so many artist from not only Australia but from parts of the world for many years and now I have the chance to expand my dance knowledge.

I look forward to sharing the Dance Love with you all xx

I have been dancing since I was 9 and danced throughout high school before taking a break at the beginning of my university studies. I started dancing again at BDA just over a year ago and have loved every second. My favourite aspect of dance is how it brings so many different people together in a fun and supportive environment. Instructor Renee O

Hi, I’m Renee and I’m the Irish and Tap teacher. I have danced pretty much since I could stand as my mother taught dancing. I started competing at the age of 4 in both highland and ballet. I have danced throughout my childhood and have completed my teachers in both highland and Irish as well as my adjudicators in Irish. I have owned my own dance school for 19 years and have only recently joined the BDA family as an instructor and have had a great time including Irish within the many forms of dance within the studio.

Instructor Peta P

Hi! My name is Peta. P and I'm the Showgirls instructor at Bella Dance Affairs.  In my younger days I danced Highland and Irish and in my Teens to Adult years I danced Hip Hop and Tap.  I started dancing again in April 2019 at Bella Dance Affairs and enjoy the opportunity to dance and perform a wide range of genres!  When I'm not instructing I dance Hip Hop, Tap and Chair Sass.  In December 2020 I became apart of the Instructor Team @ BDA.  My confidence and self-esteem has grown immensly and this is due to taking that first step of walking into the studio.  It's true.... "Where Adults Come to Dance" no matter what the experience.  This could be you! So take that first step on your dance journey, keep active both body and mind and make great friends along the way.  I look forward to becoming a part of your experience so what are you waiting for...come and join me and the BDA Family, you won't be dissapointed.

Instructor Peta S

Hi my name is Peta and I’m currently teaching Bella’s Chair sass class here at Bella Dance Affairs. I danced modern for 2 years when I was younger and then come back to dance 4 years ago to build my own confidence back up. I started teaching chair sass a few months ago loving the sassy sexy aspect of the style! I love being able to help people find their self love and confidence using dance and having the satisfaction of watching them get better and better throughout the journey.

Instructor Paris

Hi, I’m Paris and I’m the hip hop and contemporary instructor. I have been dancing pretty much my whole life, taking jazz and tap when I was younger, before taking hip hop, contemporary and ballet through high school and uni. Dance is my passion and couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I have just started getting into teaching and look forward to gaining more experience while also meeting new people. I love to inspire you all with my passion for dance and help you build up your confidence!

Instructor Kimberley

My name is Kimberley and I am currently teaching Jazz Caberet. I first started dance when I was 5 years old and have been dancing in some form for most of my life. I mostly did jazz/modern growing up with little bits of ballet, tap, contemporary and hip hop thrown in the mix. I started competing in artistic gymnastics in late primary school and ultimately had to make a decision between dance and gymnastics as there just wasn't enough time in the day for me to train both. When I finished up competing as a gymnast, I did cheerleading for a number of years as it was a perfect mix of both dance and gymnastics skills. When I finished my uni degree I moved around and travelled for a few years and found myself really wanting to get back into dance but found it difficult to find places that catered for adults. My sister introduced me to Bella Dance Affairs when I moved back to Townsville in 2019. I have always loved the way dance brings people together and am very much looking forward to sharing this love of dance with you all at BDA.

Instructor Claire

Hi my name is Claire and I teach Modern Jazz at Bella Dance Affairs. I started dancing at the age of five, with Ballet and Calisthenics in Adelaide. Since then I’ve trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Irish, Highland, Cabaret, Burlesque, Brazilian Samba and Musical Theatre. I began teaching cabaret at Bella Dance Affairs towards the end of 2017 and Ballet in 2018. I fell in love with the family, student base, instructors and beautiful friends I've made along the way. Cabaret and ballet, along with every style offered at BDA are for adults of all levels, beginner to advanced. I’ve had students who’ve never danced a day in their lives through to company trained dancers from overseas. All get along amazingly and the class is adjusted to cater each students abilities! Really look forward to seeing you all this term! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to make contact via the Bella Dance Affairs Townsville Facebook page. Happy Dancing x
