Hi my name is Bella and I am the owner and director of Bella Dance Affairs.
The classes I teach are Brazilian Samba, Burlesque, Showgirls, Contemporary, Hot Heels and Solo/Duet Development.
I started dancing from a young age in classical classes of Ballet and Jazz, then moved around during my time in the Air Force, met my husband started a family and danced whenever I could find the time in Burlesque and Belly Dance, after 13yr in the Air Force I got out and moved back to my home town and started full time dancing again in Burlesque, Brazilian Samba, Cabaret and Contemporary.
Then in September 2016 I opened Bella Dance Affairs a place I knew adults come and learn how to dance in a safe and judgement free environment no matter their level of dance experience.
Bella Dance Affairs is a place of happiness and has areal dance family vibe about it. As of July 19 I moved to the USA but am honoured to know that the Bella Dance Affairs family is still strong as ever and will continue to keep grow until I return. I have had the privilege of working with so many artist from not only Australia but from parts of the world for many years now.
Sharing the Dance Love xx
Hi my name is Claire and I teach Modern Jazz at Bella Dance Affairs. I started dancing at the age of five, with Ballet and Calisthenics in Adelaide. Since then I’ve trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Irish, Highland, Cabaret, Burlesque, Brazilian Samba and Musical Theatre. I began teaching cabaret at Bella Dance Affairs towards the end of 2017 and Ballet in 2018. I fell in love with the family, student base, instructors and beautiful friends I've made along the way. Cabaret and ballet, along with every style offered at BDA are for adults of all levels, beginner to advanced. I’ve had students who’ve never danced a day in their lives through to company trained dancers from overseas. All get along amazingly and the class is adjusted to cater each students abilities! Really look forward to seeing you all this term! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to make contact via the Bella Dance Affairs Townsville Facebook page. Happy Dancing x
Instructor Renee D
Hi my name is Renee and I am the Broadway, Brazilian Samba and Contemporary Dance instructor and currently look after Bella's Showgirls and Solo/Duet Development classes at Bella Dance Affairs! I have been dancing since I was 9 and danced throughout high school before taking a break at the beginning of my university studies. I started dancing again at BDA just over a year ago and have loved every second. My favourite aspect of dance is how it brings so many different people together in a fun and supportive environment. I am new to the instructor family this term and can’t wait to share my love of dance with you all!
Hi my name is Matt I’m the Hip Hop Instructor for Bella Dance Affairs I have been dancing with Bella Dance Affairs for a little over 2 years now and have been dancing Hip Hop since I was 13. I got into dancing because I liked the way it made me feel, listening to music and moving to the beat, freestyle is my favourite like Chris brown and many others, you just get to feel the music and wing it and have fun. I look forward to teaching my street style of Hip Hop to you all.
Hi! My name is Ange and I have been a Dance Fitness Instructor for 6 years in various gyms and studios in Townsville and Brisbane. Zumba was my first ever passion in Dance Fitness and I still LOVE it today!
It's great for people who aren't into the gym and want to combine fitness and fun at the same time and any fitness level is welcomed. It is definitely not a super serious class, my cheeks literally hurt from after the class from laughing and smiling so much. It is also a great way to meet new people and form friendships. It is countless the number of friends and best friends at that, I have made from doing this class. It is the 1 thing that keeps me passionate about it.
Hi, my name is Fiona and I teach the Hot Heels class at Bella Dance Affairs, I also dance in several other styles at BDA!
I was brand new to dance when I joined Bella Dance Affairs in January 2018! I love to see new people in the studio as I know exactly how daunting it can feel to take that first step into the studio and start up dance for the first time!
In my 2 years at Bella Dance Affairs I have learnt so much about dance, about myself, have gained so much confidence and have made some amazing friends!
So come along, I can't wait to see everyone gaining confidence in class.
Hello I am Ashleigh and I teach 2 programs from The Jungle Body, KONGA and BURN dance fitness.
I have been dancing on and off my whole life. I started as a young girl with Jazz through to high school, then a bit of Cheerleading in my last couple of years of high school, I then started dancing again at 19 doing Jazz and Hip Hop at a dance school in Townsville until I had my son, after that I came across KONGA at my local gym and fell in love, you get to dance and workout at the same time, which has lead me to doing this for about 5 years, I finally decided I wanted to teach others and share my passion for dance fitness.
Join me in a class and see why I fell in love with it.
Instructor Renee O
Hi, I’m Renee and I’m the Irish and Tap teacher. I have danced pretty much since I could stand as my mother taught dancing. I started competing at the age of 4 in both highland and ballet. I have danced throughout my childhood and have completed my teachers in both highland and Irish as well as my adjudicators in Irish. I have owned my own dance school for 19 years and have only recently joined the BDA family as an instructor and have had a great time including Irish within the many forms of dance within the studio.
